So there's no real 'wasted' attack even if it does little damage, misses or causes a ripost. ![]() For example, the highwayman can get a 50% dodge token but as soon as somebody makes an attack at him, hit or miss that token vanishes. While buffs and debuffs can be powerful, they tend to be for only one or two attacks. Weren't that many negative orrerances (he keep ensuring affinities were high as possible) but I saw +1 stress and a 50% damage debuff. In ChristopherOdd's play, the positive affinities resulted in buffs, stress reduction, minor heals, and even a party member making a free attack when the person they liked did. Positive affinities can yield variable but helpful boons while negative ones can really mess you up. You can only use it at the inn, the stuff ChristopherOdd's team found only heals 10% HP while giving a -10% disease resistance until the next inn. Also the food shown so far is kind of 'meh'. The grave digger has an unlockable heal skill but requires a corpse as a target. Not to mention you can only use it three times per combat. The rest of the time it only clears plague/bleed/burning. For example the plague doctor's baseline heal skill heals 20% HP but only restores HP if the target is below 50%. It's a lot harder to heal your team up to full HP without using items you find or buy. And while it's not confirmed, I'm betting that higher stress results in a greater chance of a decrease. Various actions during combat can increase or decrease affinity. There's another that can be done every turn but it's only a 50% chance. During the tutorial segment, the party got the ability to upgrade a skill that can do a -1 stress for the whole party every two combat turns. Fortunately I've only seen at most +2 stress from one attack. Each character only has 10 units and if it maxes out, affinities with everybody take a huge hit, you get a pretty bad negative trait and drop to low HP. Stress is something you need to be constantly dealing with. I'm sure there are more in-depth analyses on what's been shown so far but here are my takeaways from what I've seen. For example - instead of a new faction available only in one additional region, we will get minibosses that can appear anywhere.So the streamers have started showing DD2 and so far it's making it hard to keep my choice to not go over to Epic games store to get the early release. Currently, the team is less focused on creating new regions, rather putting emphasis on adding new content to already existing areas.They assure only that we can expect more decisions but not arcade elements. For now, the creators are not ready to share any details. The carriage driving sequences will be improved.At the same time, the resulting comments during fights will be limited, as they can get in the way. These relationships will have a more direct impact on gameplay. ![]() Big changes will also be made to the relationships between characters, so that they are less predictable and the decisions made by the player have more weight.A complete overhaul of the progression system is planned, to make it richer and offer more choices.Further development of the game will focus on smaller, but more frequent updates with new content.After that is done we can expect the improvement of the glitter system and the expansion of the Cultists faction. ![]()
